The neighbouring buildings, the orangery, the pheasantry and the Oranienburg (Count Ferdinand von Plettenberg’s pleasure palace) are special points of interest.
Visitors will learn the history of the palace gardens and how they have been influenced by well-known architects such as Johann Conrad Schlaun, Maximilian Friedrich Weyhe and Achille Duchene.
Baroque garden creation and English landscape gardening have created the park that we know today.
These tours through the gardens are offered on the first and third Sunday of the month from April to October at 3 p.m. The admission is €4 per person.
Garden tours for groups can be arranged through the Finance Academy in German, English or French at the telephone number or e-mail address below. There is a minimum charge for group tours of €40.
